Q: Are your sculptures Ice Molds?
A: Every Ice Fantasies Sculpture is hand carved by our ice sculptor.
Q: How large is a single-block sculpture?
A: A single-block Ice Sculpture is carved from a block of ice that is 40" Tall x 20" Wide X 10" deep. Most single block sculptures are vertical and stand 40" tall. However, depending on the design we may fuse together two or more blocks changing the dimensions. I f you have a specific design in mind please contact us.
Q: How long will our Ice Sculpture Last?
A: Typically the detail in any ice sculpture will last up to 6 hours if displayed indoors. If the event is outdoors, it will depend on the temperature and where the sculpture is placed. Sculptures will usually melt about 1/4 of an inch per hour.
Q: What happens to all the water when it melts?
A: We provide a Plexiglas drip tray that is placed underneath the ice sculpture. A clear hose that is attached in the back insures that all water goes to a container underneath the table on which the ice sculpture is displayed. The containers need to be emptied every 3 hours.
Q: How much does an ice sculpture cost?
A: This depends on the specific design, how much ice is used and how long the ice sculpture takes to make. Please contact us for a free quote.
Q: Can you create an original or customized sculpture for us?
A: We would LOVE to work with you to create an original design. We specialize in making Ice Fantasies come true! Please contact us to discuss any and all ideas you may have.
Q: Why is your ice clear, while others I've seen have a white center?
A: We grow the ice for all of our sculptures in our own ice carving shop. The water is filtered as it freezes. We use Clinebell machines to make our ice and these machines are designed to create ice that is perfectly clear. Our ice is harder than other ice, it’s also more stable, and it lasts longer.
Q: What tools do you use to carve the ice?
A: Our sculptors are proficient with the wide range of tools needed to create an Ice Fantasies work of art, such as; electric chainsaws, chisels, heat guns, torches, and water.
Q: How do you get the sculpture to us without it melting or breaking?
A: this depends on how far the sculpture is traveling, but we have a variety of ways to insure that your special ice sculpture is delivered to your event shimmering and in perfect condition.
Q: Can you carve names, letters, or logos?
A: We can carve anything from a simple logo to an elegant monogram and more. Please call to discuss your specifications.
